Capt. Chris Lewis has been appointed District 4 Law Enforcement Supervisor with the Alabama Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries and will oversee daily conservation law enforcement activities of the southeast Alabama district.
He also will be responsible for working with other state agencies and organizations throughout Alabama to promote conservation law enforcement.
After receiving his Bachelor of Wildlife Science from Auburn University in 1997, Lewis began his career with WFF in 1998 as a Conservation Enforcement Officer in Shelby County. From 2003 to 2008, Lewis served as a sergeant in Shelby County. In 2008, he transferred to Pike County where he was promoted to lieutenant.
In addition to his duties with WFF, Lewis completed a FBI development course and serves as a FBI firearms instructor and honor guard member.
“Capt. Lewis brings a vast amount of knowledge and experience to this position,” said Kevin Dodd, WFF Law Enforcement Chief. “We are very proud to have the opportunity to utilize his abilities as a supervisor in District 4.”
Lewis enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time with his wife and three children in Troy, Ala.
