The Utah Wildlife Board will consider a reduction in buck permits during its meetings next week in Salt Lake City.
The board meets May 2-3 at the Utah Department of Wildlife Resources auditorium on Temple Street. Wednesday’s meetings are open to the public but are a work session for board discussion only, with no public comments taken. Thursday’s sessions are open and will include public comments.
DWR officials earlier this year recommended changes about buck deer permits to the state’s regional advisory councils based on new zones and biological data. Council responses were mixed.
The first day’s meeting begins at 11 a.m., with the May 3 meeting starting at 9 a.m. The DNR auditorium is located at 1594 W. North Temple in Salt Lake City.
