Governor Josh Shapiro is about to sign House Bill 1431 into law on Wednesday, July 9, which will end a 152-year-old ban on hunting on Sundays in Pennslyvania. Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding, key lawmakers and hunters will join Gov. Shapiro to mark this historic moment.
The new law will expand opportunities for hunters especially those who only have the weekends to hunt, make it easier for families to spend time hunting together on Sundays, and should boost revenue from new hunting license sales.
