Ever hear someone jokingly say, “Boy, when those deer turn on the hunters or get weapons then it’ll be a fair fight!”
Well, uh, one finally did. Sort of.
A 72-year-old hunter was out for a hunt Jan. 2 with family when he shot a doe with a crossbow. Then when he was searching for the deer everything went nuts.
The man, unidentified in news media reports, was near Taycheedah in Fond du Lac County, Wis., and shot a doe with a crossbow. He went out later to try to find the deer. While rumbling around in the brush tracking it, the deer burst out and head-butted him in the leg
He was taken by ambulance to a hospital for treatment.
