Mark Larson, Co-Founder of Rock River Arms, Passes Away

Mark Larson, co-founder and president of Rock River Arms, died April 5 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Ill.

LarsonLarson, 50, founded Rock River Arms with his brother, Chuck, in 1996. The company began producing high quality 1911-style pistols and AR-15 rifles. Since then it has continue to grow and is one of the industry’s leading, most-respected firms.

Larson was a member of the NRA, OGCA, ISRA, and Illinois Firearms Manufactures Association. He enjoyed mushrooming, fishing for crappies, gardening, his cars, and cooking and feeding his family and friends.

Visitation will be April 9 from 3-8 p.m., at Vandemore Funeral Home. Funeral services will be April 10 at 10:30am at Vandemore Funeral Home in Geneseo, Ill. Memorials may be left to the Mark Larson Memorial Fund.
