Kansas City Royals manager Ned Yost travels around the country from April to September, filling out lineup cards and living out of a suitcase in hotels.

So when the off-season arrives, it’s not too difficult to imagine Yost turning off the cell phone and climbing on his tractor at his 3,000-acre Georgia farm. Dirt therapy of a different sort, minus the bases and umpires.

The Kansas City Star recently had a great takeout feature on Yost working his farm prior to spring training. He’s pals with entertainer Jeff Foxworthy and other notable folks.

We just wonder if he has an indoor archery range in Kansas City like the Braves did in Atlanta at Fulton County Stadium and Turner Field. Clubhouse, bull pen, archery range … sounds like a winner.
