Bacon Wrapped Backstrap

Foodie Friday: Bacon-Wrapped Backstrap

We made this recipe over the weekend, paired it with some wine, and it tasted like a 5-star meal! If you’re wanting to treat yourself this weekend, we highly recommend trying this out.

Bacon Wrapped Backstrap
Paired with some seasoned broccoli, caramelized onions and a biscuit, this was the best meal we’ve had in a while! Recipe courtesy of Ross Ruhe. Photo courtesy of David Gilane.

Ingredients

1 venison backstrap

1 package bacon

2 cups soy sauce

1 tablespoon sesame seed oil

Directions

Chunk the backstrap, then wrap each chunk in bacon. Put a toothpick through the wrap and marinate in soy sauce and sesame seed oil for about 20 to 30 minutes. Put straps on the grill (or cook in a cast iron skillet) and cook until the bacon is done. Enjoy!
