Well, that was quite the day! I am flying home from Wildwood, Florida, after another very exciting day with the bright-eyed, bushytailed youth of America and all their wonderful supporters who love them very much. And during these weird, very trying times in the world today, a good shot of positive, heart-pounding confidence adrenalin is just what the good doctor America ordered!
As the guest of the Buffalo Stampeders at their annual Sportsmen’s Gala at The Villages community, we celebrated with mucho gusto the Buffalo Stampeders Youth Sports Club charity event, witnessing young Americans dedicated to an honest to God, True North compass setting for life, liberty and the pursuit of being the best that you can be happiness.
Serving more than 600 youngsters in the community, these dedicated families focus on seven different sport activities including baseball, basketball, football, golf, softball, volleyball and wrestling. In this day and age, such athletic competition surely remains the link to individual and team excellence.
The boys and girls that participate with the Buffalo Stampeders are put to the test in 500 contests throughout the year, and these skills and disciplines make for better students, citizens and prepare them to be happy, successful, well-rounded adults.
Like the hard-working volunteers that support this annual charitable event, the kids are inspired, mentored and guided by example to help their communities via such volunteer opportunities.
Having just celebrated our 30th Annual Ted Nugent Kamp for Kids charity in Nebraska, Iowa and Colorado, the evidence is irrefutable how such organized activities go straight to the heart of exactly what young people need in their lives.
The smiles and laughter say it all.
All across America, great Americans give up personal time and make substantial sacrifices to reach out to our youth, and the results could not be more rewarding.
More and more we are seeing the increase in the amazing National Archery In Schools program, and also the increase in school trap and skeet and marksmanship programs.
Good, legal guns in schools! Could there possibly be anything more positive and more wonderful than that!
Here’s a huge Nuge SALUTE to all those loving, giving, generous, caring volunteers across the land that are having such a powerfully positive impact on young Americans.
Like the Buffalo Stampeders, I hear from groups in all 50 states that have created such positive youth-oriented sporting activities, and I know firsthand the life-enhancing, and actual lifesaving benefits of such volunteerism.
We see the focus on the next generation in all its glory at the Pope & Young Club, The Boone & Crockett Club, Hunter Nation, Shikar Safaris, the National Rifle Association, Safari Club International, The Dallas Safari Club, The Houston Safari Club, The Wild Turkey Federation, Ducks Unlimited, Delta Waterfowl, Pheasants Forever, Whitetails Unlimited, The Ruffed Grouse Society, Quail Unlimited, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Trout Unlimited, The Wild Sheep Foundation, literally every state hunting, firearms and conservation organization nationwide.
Makes you feel warm and good inside, does it not!
