It works great for getting everything set and turn on the crockpot before going to sleep for the night. Then the next morning before heading out to work, it’s all cooked and ready to toss in the refrigerator for dinner that night or the next several nights.

Ingredients
- 1 large venison shoulder roast
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon mustard powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Wash venison roast well and place in bottom of slow cooker. In a separate bowl, whisk together remaining ingredients, and pour over roast. Cook on low for 8 to 10 hours, turning roast once halfway through. Serve with choice of potato and remaining sauce. Enjoy!
