Corn Picker, 10-Point Whitetail Buck Have Ugly Confrontation

deer combineWe ran across this photo that apparently may be at least a year old but nevertheless is  compelling.

Agricultural fields across the Midwest and Southeast are being picked and harvested. Occasionally, something like this will happen. Whether it’s with a great buck like this — and we don’t know the story or any info on this photo — or maybe fawns that get hit by folks cutting hay or prepping fields to plant food plots, it’s still gut-wrenching. Nature’s not pretty sometimes.

Some folks will use tickle chains on a bar in front of tractors when bushhogging to stir up any fawns to keep from running over them. But sometimes things happen and deer get hit. There are other deer and it’s not the end of the world.
