Building on the overwhelming success of the original Axis Tripod, TenPoint Crossbow Technologies recently launched their NEW Axis XL Carbon Tripod. Designed for all hunting situations with ground blind to standing height adjustment, the Axis XL features premium woven carbon fiber legs that provide lightweight durability and rigidity and extend up to 58” standing height — all while maintaining an ultra-compact carry footprint.
“The Axis Tripod was one of the most successful accessories we have ever launched,” said Phil Bednar, CEO. “With a standing height of 58”, the lightweight Axis XL is the perfect tripod for hunting or a day at the range shooting crossbows or firearms while standing. Combine this with a compact carry size and small footprint, and you’ve got the best tripod on the market.”
Weighing 50% less than competitor tripods at 4.8 pounds, the Axis XL collapses down to 27.5” — making packing and carrying your hunting kit easier than ever (and conveniently fits in the HALO backpack). Non-slip lever locks provide easy, secure height adjustment. And, using less than ½ the floor space of competitor tripods, the Axis XL allows for more equipment and shooting coverage in the tight confines of a blind where inches make the difference.
The weapon can be taken from locked to full traverse with only a quarter-turn of the lock-knob – allowing you to keep your crossbow trained on your game. The ultra-smooth ball head mount system features 360 degrees of horizontal rotation and unlimited tilt to ensure you can quickly acquire your target, regardless of the situation. Two integrated bubble levels allow the user to keep their weapon level ensuring long-range accuracy by eliminating left/right accuracy issues.
The built-in rubber snubber keeps the tripod legs cinched together for compact, quiet carry.
The Axis XL is designed for use with both crossbows and firearms.
Like all TenPoint crossbows, every detail of this tripod has been designed to make your hunt more successful. While in the blind, the included “hunt hammock” keeps key items like your rangefinder or calls in easy reach to minimize movement and noise during the hunt.
After the shot, use the built-in compass to make a note of the direction the animal traveled.
