We know texting and driving is terrible, but what about texting and hunting?

Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism officials have reminded hunters recently that it is a violation of a game law to exchange information with another person about the location or movement of deer or game animals while hunting.

The department says it’s illegal, by law, to use two-way radios to relay information during hunting about animal movements that could help a hunter kill that animal. This includes other mechanical devices including cell phones and texting, the officials say.

How this is enforceable is a key question, though. Perhaps it could be something used in an investigation into wildlife violations, poaching, or trespassing? Maybe so.
